PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher with significantly improved washing capability by preventing malfunction such as device failure in a pretreatment step for atomizing a washing solution with a dissolved detergent, applying the atomized washing solution to objects to be washed and leaving the objects to be washed. SOLUTION: Washing water is fed into a washing tub 2 disposed inside a body 1 and having an opening 1a for loading/taking out the objects 8 to be washed, and the detergent is dissolved in the washing water to make the washing solution 20. The washing solution 20 is jetted by a washing pump 5 from a washing nozzle 7 to wash the objects 8 to be washed within the washing tub 2. The dishwasher has an atomizing device 30 with an ultrasonic vibrator 31 for atomizing the washing solution 20 disposed on the bottom of the washing tub 2, and top of the ultrasonic vibrator 31 of the atomizing device 30 is covered by a lid 40.
