PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker with superior reproduced sound quality which is high in strength of connection between first/second diaphragms constituting a vibration system and a bobbin of a voice coil, and has small peaks and dips of sound pressure-frequency characteristics. SOLUTION: The speaker 1 includes the first diaphragm 5 arranged on a front side where a sound wave is radiated, the second diaphragm 6 arranged on a back side of the first diaphragm and connected, on its outer peripheral side, to an outer peripheral side of the first diaphragm, and the voice coil 3 having a bobbin in a substantially cylindrical shape to which inner peripheral sides of the first diaphragm and second diaphragm are connected apart from each other. The first diaphragm has an engagement flange portion extended to be folded back from its outer peripheral end to define a ridge projection on the front side and to define an engagement recessed portion on the back side of the ridge projection, and the second diaphragm has, at its outer peripheral end, an engagement portion to engage the engagement recessed portion of the first diaphragm, a mode frequency f2 at which the second diaphragm makes division vibrations being set higher than a mode frequency f1 at which the first diaphragm makes division vibrations.
