PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic substance container usable without leaking moisture separated from a gel-like aromatic substance to the outside of the container even when a using attitude is changed. SOLUTION: The aromatic substance container 10 is used by mounting a box-shaped container body 11 housing the gel-like aromatic substance 12 which contracts while separating moisture while volatilizing a volatile component to the inside of a cover body 22 provided with an outer side volatilization opening 21 on the periphery. The container body 11 includes a bottom part 13, a peripheral wall part 14 erected from the peripheral edge part 13a of the bottom part 13, and a top surface part 16 where a volatilization opening 15 is formed. The bottom part 13 has a two-stage structure to which a lower stage bottom part 18 is provided while interposing a shoulder part 17 between that and the peripheral edge part 13a. At a part 140 of the peripheral wall part 14, peripheral wall part volatilization openings 29 are formed. A mounting direction regulation means 20 for regulating the mounting direction of the container body 11 to the cover body 22 by a pair of positioning guide bases 31 on the inner side of the cover body 22 and a pair of shoulder parts 17 at the side parts in a U shape of the container body 11 is provided.
