PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems, wherein in conventional automatic analyzers, in order to determine an abnormal specimen, analysis for an item used only for abnormality determination is performed, beforehand, or visual extraction by a clinical examination engineer or a doctor is performed to thereby waste greatly cost, labor or time, and further, since even a specimen determined that reexamination is necessary is discarded from the automatic analyzer after finish of analysis, the specimen is required to be reinstalled in the analyzer at reexamination time, to thereby impose a load on an operator. SOLUTION: The automatic analyzer includes: a function of extracting an item to which reexamination is recommended from an abnormality determination result relative to a measurement result; displaying emphatically the item and the specimen on a display screen; and also includes a function for holding a specimen having the recommended state into a measurable state, without discarding it outside from the analyzer, to thereby enable transfer into a measuring state quickly, when reexamination is requested. COnsequently, the labor required for reexamination can be reduced, extraction omission of an abnormal specimen can be prevented, and accurate reexamination becomes possible.
