PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery system capable of stably performing temperature detection of a secondary battery. SOLUTION: In the battery system 100 having at least one secondary battery 20 with a metal battery case 10 which is electrically neutral, the battery system 100 has a thermoelectromotive force detection section 30 formed by a circuit including the battery case 10 of the secondary battery, and two conductors 34, 36 connected to the case 10, wherein one conductor 36 is made from a metal material equal to the metal material of the case 10 and the other conductor 34 is made from a metal material different from the metal material of the case 10.
