PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit for a game machine which is holdable in a weight-balanced stable state. SOLUTION: On the back surface of a front case 24 housing a symbol display panel 21, a rear case 25 housing a display control board 22 for the control of the symbol display panel 21 is provided. A pair of fingertip engaging recessed parts 32 are provided respectively on the upper wall surface 27 and lower surface wall 28 of the rear case 25. The fingertips of the middle finger and a third finger are engaged with the fingertip engaging recessed part 32 formed on the upper surface wall 27, the thumb is engaged with the fingertip engaging recessed part 32 formed on the lower surface wall 28, and the whole is held with three fingers.
