PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging stand for an electric vehicle that effectively prevents damage to equipment due to mischief or carelessness while ensuring workability of a regular user. SOLUTION: The charging stand for an electric vehicle includes a power supply device, and a charging connection means for connecting the power supply device and the electric vehicle during charging of the electric vehicle. The charging connection means includes a charging connection 2a connected to a power supply part provided in the electric vehicle, and a charging cable having the charging connection 2a at its end and forming a power supply circuit between the power supply device and the electric vehicle. The charging connection means includes a holding part for holding the charging connection 2a when not in use, and a restraining means for restraining the charging connection 2a held by the holding part.
