A contour correction circuit according to the present invention determines, for a CVBS signal (a), a correction range of an edge of an image, and changes a contour component correction coefficient in a WINDOW in accordance with a state of a quality of the image, thereby solving a problem of overshoot caused at an edge of a video screen, performing optimum contour correction without excessive contour correction on a video image border part, and increasing the sharpness of the image. |
