<p>A porous body containing polylactic acid as the main component, wherein the porous body comprises interconnected pores having an average pore size of 0.1-3.8 µm; the skeleton diameter of said pores is 0.1-3.8 µm; and the thickness of the porous body is 3 mm or more. It is preferred that this porous body has a crystalline nature. The porous body can be obtained by, for example, heating polylactic acid and dissolving the same in a specific solvent to give a solution, cooling the solution to give a molded body thus precipitated, and then immersing the molded body in water. The aforesaid specific solvent contains, at a specific ratio, water, an organic solvent in which polylactic acid is soluble, and another organic solvent in which polylactic acid is insoluble.</p> |
