<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic timepiece and a portable electronic device having a timepiece function, which measure accurate time without providing a specific temperature sensor and on the basis of a correction value of the temperature characteristics of a vibrator responsive to the temperature of a region or an environment in which the device is actually placed. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of pairs of an average temperature by time corresponding to positional information and a correction value of the temperature characteristics of a vibrator corresponding to the average temperature by time are stored in association with each other in a memory (ROM). When the positional information is acquired, on the basis of the acquired positional information and the measured time information, the corresponding correction value of the temperature characteristics of the vibrator corresponding to the average temperature by time is read from the memory 35 (S3), and on the basis of the read correction value, the frequency of an oscillation signal is corrected (S4). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
