PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for correcting a motion, displaying a natural variation-free image display having neither fluctuation in a display angle by the storage of errors due to a time lapse, nor unnatural inclination in a display position, nor shaking when detecting and correcting a continuous motion such as an animation. SOLUTION: An image processor 10 applying a device for correcting an image motion includes: a computer 13 for computing motions among frames as a motion detector detecting motions among continuous images with time; and reference angle deciding sections 14, 12B and 15 for deciding an angle as the reference of correction in the direction of rotation in detected motion (the quantities of the motions). The image processor 10 further includes: a conservation 12b for rotational angle information at every frame conserving the information of rotation angle at every frame from reference angles; and a reference position decision 15 as a correction quantity computer for computing the quantity of correction of motion in the direction of rotation by using a plurality of rotational angle information at every frame.
