PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for an air conditioner that meets the expectation for a filter for an air conditioner having a suitable double structure, because a filer combined with an additional filter of low collection efficiency installed upstream for clogging prevention or two filters of different collection efficiency laid closely of which the upstream filter medium has low collection efficiency result in cost increase and are not satisfactory, in the case that a filter for an air conditioner of high collection efficiency to fine particles is intended to be installed in an air conditioning system. SOLUTION: The filter for an air conditioner is made of two combined sheet filter mediums selected from the sheet filter mediums having a function of a prefilter, a medium or high performance filter, a quasi HEPA filter, a HEPA filter and a ULPA filter having each different collection efficiency, according to the dust concentration in air intake environments which changes depending on change of atmospheric dust and change of surroundings.
