PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RF amplification apparatus which increases the bandwidth of RF modulation signal, suppresses reduction in power efficiency and avoids saturation of an RF amplifier even when an output voltage is changed more quickly. SOLUTION: A first RF amplifying section 103 and a second RF amplifying section 104 amplify an RF modulation signal to desired power. An ET operating voltage signal generating section 108 generates an ET operating voltage signal based on envelope amplitude information of the RF modulation signal and power supply voltage-output characteristics of the second RF amplifying section 104. A DC power source section 110 outputs a plurality of different DC voltages. A DC voltage selective switching section 111 selectively outputs one of the plurality of DC voltages output from the DC power source section 110 to the second RF amplifying section 104, based on the ET operating voltage signal. An auxiliary power source section 114 outputs an ET operating voltage to the second RF amplifying section 104 at the moment when the output voltage of the DC voltage selective switching section 111 becomes lower than or equal to the ET operating voltage output from the ET operating voltage signal generating section 108.
