PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a roller contact device by avoiding the situation in which a base portion of a roller shaft collides with a storage hole of a body fixed to an insulating rotary shaft each time a tap is switched. SOLUTION: The roller contact device 5 for a tap selector switches a tap while maintaining a vertically symmetrical structure which is always constant, wherein a roller shaft 12 is projected radially from the body 11 fixed to the insulating rotary shaft 1 to support a roller by the roller shaft, pressers and leaf springs 16 are arranged in order outside above and below upper and lower rollers to hold a contact by the upper and lower rollers, and respective contacts are held with holding force of upper and lower leaf springs. A lock hole 38 is provided on the tip side of the leaf spring and a lock pin 37 is projected on the presser, so that movements of the roller in a circumferential direction around and a centrifugal direction from the insulating rotary shaft 1 as the center are restrained by the leaf spring through an engagement structure between the lock hole and lock pin.
