PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen printing method which eliminates a process of cleaning a mesh mask by preventing ink deposited on the mesh mask from being dried, and a screen printing device. SOLUTION: The screen printing method includes the following processes: the ink 32 is printed on a matter to be printed 35 by filling the ink 32 into pattern perforations 7a of the mesh mask 6 with the pattern perforations 7a for exposing the surface of the matter to be printed 35. Before the ink 41 deposited on the pattern region 7 with the pattern perforations 7a of the mesh mask 6 is dried, at least the pattern region 7 of the mesh mask 6 is tightly closed so as to prevent the ink 32 and 41 from being dried.
