PURPOSE: A method and a system for recognizing a state of an uplink in a visible light wireless local area network are provided to accurately grasp an uplink state of a mobile node in an access point. CONSTITUTION: If an access point receives a signal for an initial access from a mobile node, the access point allocates one of mini slots of a competitive slot to a corresponding mobile node(505,510). If quality of a signal is better than a reference through the mini slot, the access point allocates resources for connection to the mobile node(525,540). The access point transmits a connection response for a connection request(545,550).
