PURPOSE: A composition containing herb extract for relieving hangover is provided to promote ADH and ALDH activation and decomposition of alcohol and acetealdehyde. CONSTITUTION: A composition for relieving hangover contains Castanea crenata inner skin extract as an active ingredient. The composition for relieving hangover contains extract of Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn. Seed and Hovenia dulcis Thunb. seed as an active ingredient. The extract is contained in 0.01-95 weight% based on total composition. A beverage for relieving hangover contains Castanea crenata inner skin extract as an active ingredient.
