PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device with the same are provided to gradually increase pitch of light emitting diodes from the center of a printed circuit board to both ends, thereby increasing brightness of the central area of a backlight unit. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of substrates is arranged in parallel with a side of a light guide plate. A plurality of light emitting diodes(153) is mounted on the substrate. The light emitting diodes are adjacent to the top of the substrate in the central area of the substrate. The light emitting diodes are symmetrical on the central area of the substrate. |
