PURPOSE: A high efficiency hoisting device and a driving method thereof, which can increase energy efficiency comparing to a hoisting device, is provided to save a personnel cost by mounting a restoring energy module. CONSTITUTION: A high efficiency hoisting device comprises a control circuit(100), a load cell circuit part(200) and a safety circuit part(300). The control circuit comprises a regeneration converter(150). The control circuit changes direct current to usable alternating current using an inverter(140) and the regeneration converter. A load cell controller includes a load cell controller and a load cell. The safety circuit part is connected to the inverter and regeneration converter. The safety circuit part blocks the driving signal of the regeneration converter and inverter.
