PURPOSE: A spin regulating apparatus is provided to regulate the spin polarizability of electric charge passing through the apparatus by controlling the direction of electric field applied to the ferroelectric material of the apparatus. CONSTITUTION: The direction of an electric dipole moment is changed according to the direction of electric field in a ferroelectric material layer(11). The ferroelectric material layer is composed of a ferroelectric semiconductor. A diluted magnetic semiconductor layer(12) is formed between a plurality of ferroelectric material layers. The diluted magnetic semiconductor layer is composed of a diluted magnetic semiconductor. The direction of the electric filed applied to the ferroelectric material layer is controlled in order to regulate the spin polarizing state of electric charge.
