PURPOSE: Hydroxyl alkylalkylcellulose, a cement mortar additive for extrusion molding containing thereof, and cement mortar including the additive are provided to economically produce an extruded product, and to maintain the shape retention property of the product. CONSTITUTION: Hydroxyl alkylalkylcellulose has the viscosity of a 0.1(w/v)% aqueous solution of 20,000~30,000 cps, using a Brookfield viscometer in 20 deg C, and the cloudiness of a 0.5(w/v)% aqueous solution of 50~100 FTU. The hydroxyl alkylalkylcellulose has the polymerization rate of 15,000~25,000, induced from cellulose obtained from ascidian shells .
