PURPOSE: A case for an external hard disk drive is provided to improve user convenience by being easily opened and closed without the use of a separate fastener. CONSTITUTION: A case for an external hard disk drive comprises a receiving space accommodating a hard disk drive, an external terminal hole on a side through which an external terminal of a computer or laptop is connected to the hard disk drive, and a binder(30) which comprises a square ring-shaped side portion(31) and a sealing portion(32) vertically formed on an edge of the side portion and fastens the case with an elastic force. The side portion of the binder tightly and entirely covers upper, lower, left, and right faces(11,12,13,14) and the sealing portion tightly covers the edges of the case. The binder includes an auxiliary hole(311) corresponding to the external terminal hole. The vertical and horizontal cross sections are positioned in a U shape to cover the case.
