SEPARATION DEVICE AND SEPARATION METHOD OF MOTHER BOARD FOR PLANE DISPLAY PANEL

A separation device of a mother board for a plane display panel consists of a plurality of tables for sucking and fixing one plane display panel, and a moving device for moving a part of the plurality of tables relatively to other tables in at least one axial direction on the major surface of the plane display panel. Scribe lines for dividing the plane display panel into panel pieces of product size are formed in the plane display panel. Unnecessary members between adjacent panel pieces can be cut off by moving the moving device in at least one axial direction under such a state as one plane display panel is fixed onto the plurality of tables. Consequently, unnecessary members between panel pieces can be cut off surely without producing a flaw in the panel piece.
