The method involves cutting out a lancet body (2) with a lancet tip (3) of a metal band, where the cutting is performed as laser cutting accomplished by a laser beam. The metal band is moved relative to the laser beam during cutting. A strip (6) is applied with test chemicals on the metal band for examining a body fluid sample, where the lancet body is cut with the laser by the strip and by the closely lying metal band. The strip is formed of polymer fibers that are merged at edges of the strip by the laser beam. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a lancet supply strip including lancets (2) a puncture device for generating a puncturing wound by using a replaceable lancet. |
