PURPOSE: An organic dye and a dye-sensitized solar cell using thereof are provided to improve the optical absorption rate and the quantum efficiency of the solar cell. CONSTITUTION: An organic dye is marked with chemical formula 1. In the chemical formula 1, Ar1 is a substituted or non-substituted aryl group with 6~40 carbons, or a substituted or non-substituted heteroaryl group with 3~40 carbons. Both a and b are integers of 0~2. R1 and R2 are a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group with 1~50 carbons, a substituted or non-substituted alkenyl group with 2~50 carbons, a substituted or non-substituted alkynyl group with 2~50 carbons, a substituted or non-substituted aryl group with 6~50 carbons, or the substituted or non-substituted heteroaryl group with 3~40 carbons. |
