MEASURING METHOD OF SHEAR FRICTION FACTOR USING EXTRUSION

PURPOSE: A method for measuring a shear friction factor using extrusion is provided to predict a lubrication property in an extrusion process and a shear friction factor without the drawing of a physical property. CONSTITUTION: An extruded material with a diameter corresponding to an inner diameter of a shaping space of a mold is installed in the shaping space. A product is molded by pressurizing the extruded material using a hollow punch with an outer diameter less than an inner diameter. The extrusion rate of the extruded material is measured according to the increase of the stroke of a hollow punch. A shear friction factor is calculated using a proportional relation of the extrusion rate.
