The assembly has a rolling body (4) arranged in a rolling space between a rotating internal unit (3) and a fixed external unit (1) to permit relative rotation of the units. A cover (10) is integrated with the external unit for covering the rolling space. An orifice (11) formed in the cover is blocked by a connected breathable membrane (20) made of polymer. The membrane is associated to the cover by being interposed between a sensitive element and a coder (6) generating magnetic impulses. The membrane is arranged such that the impulses are detected by the sensitive element via the membrane.
