PURPOSE: Continuous resource allocation indicating method and system in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing-based system resource are provided to verify allocated resource by analyzing a resource allocation message based on either of a continuous indexing technique or a non-continuous indexing technique. CONSTITUTION: A base station transmits a resource allocation message(600) to a terminal. The resource allocation message is capable of including contiguous allocation indicator(CAI)(605). The CAI is a field consisted of one or more bits. The terminal includes information for interprets at least one part of resource allocation. The terminal interprets sub band index field(615) according to continuous or non-continuous allocation.
