PURPOSE: A method for cutting an ingate of a large sized cylindrical casting is provided to cut most ingate cut portions through a turning method and remaining cut portions using a gap maintaining unit and a metal saw process. CONSTITUTION: A material is mounted on a spindle chuck(403) in a numerical controller for ingate cutting. While rotating the material, a turning bite(405) is proceeds, and a turning cutting part is cut. Weight supporting points(408,409,410) for supporting material weight are left by combining the rotation, straight movement and backward movement of a metal saw(407). A gap holding unit(411) is inserted into 3 gaps of the turning cutting part.
