PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid replacing method, capable of replacing quickly a fluid used in a fluid injection device, and capable of carrying out cleaning in an inside of a supply passage with the fluid flowing, and the fluid injection device. SOLUTION: This fluid replacing method replaces the first fluid stored in the supply passage 63 connected to a main tank 52, with the second fluid, and adopts a method including: the first process for closing an opening and closing part 61 positioned in one end side in a main tank 52 side of the supply passage 63, and for sucking an inside of the supply passage 63 from the other end side of the supply passage 63; and the second process for opening the opening and closing part 61 to introduce the second fluid from the one end side into the inside of the supply passage 63, and for discharging the first fluid in the inside of the supply passage 63, from the other end side.
