PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain both of improvement of positioning accuracy for assembly parts and shortening the time required to replace a tool in a vehicle body assembling device. SOLUTION: A rail having relatively low accuracy is used for a rail on which a slide unit moves upon changing a tool in service. This enables replacement of the tool in a short time. On the other hand, a rail having relatively high accuracy is used for a rail in a work area for positioning an assembly part with a tool.
