PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small sized and inexpensive chip suction holder for a cutting tool with high recovery efficiency of the chip capable of attaining cutting of the chip even if a cutting blade of the cutting tool is worn in the chip suction holder for the cutting tool for taking-in the chip generated at cutting of a work from a taking-in port and discharging it to a discharge port connected to an exhaust pump. SOLUTION: The chip suction holder 10 for the cutting tool 20 is arranged just above the cutting tool 20, takes-in the chip CW generated at cutting of the work W from the taking-in port 11 and discharges it from the discharge port 12 connected to the exhaust pump. The chip suction holder 10 for the cutting tool 20 is formed such that the taking-in port 11 is opposed to an upper surface of a throw away chip 21 of the cutting tool 20.
