PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method for constructing a seismic isolated structure capable of easily performing the high-quality seismic isolation of an existing structure without changing the overground part thereof. SOLUTION: The method for constructing the seismic isolated structure is characterized by: a vertical shaft construction process for forming vertical shafts 5 along the side of a target region A for the seismic isolation; a tunnel construction process for providing a plurality of rectangular tunnels under the target region A for the seismic isolation using the vertical shafts 5; a slab construction process for forming slabs 2, 3 one above the other for covering the lower part of the target region A for the seismic isolation using a plurality of the rectangular tunnels; a seismic isolation device installation process for installing seismic isolation devices 4 between the slabs 2, 3 on the top and bottom in the internal spaces of the rectangular tunnels; and a lining removal process for removing lining parts positioned between the slabs 2, 3 on the top and bottom out of the linings of each rectangular tunnel.
