PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device of a traveling crane capable of surely preventing running-away of the traveling crane by a gust, by generating sufficient braking force, without receiving influence on dimensional accuracy of a rail, and without damaging the rail. SOLUTION: A brake actuator 10 capable of pressing and separating a brake pad 9 in the orthogonal direction to a traveling wheel rolling surface 4a of the rail 4, is arranged in a required position of a crane body lower part.
