The apparatus for drying a food product, which contains yeast extract, bone extract and/or meat extract, comprises a transport belt (3) for transporting the product, a contact heater provided below the transport belt to heat the product during transportation, a radiant heater provided above the transport belt to heat the product during transportation, and two treatment zones provided at the transport belt with different heaters. The transport belt is arranged in a pressurized chamber with a pumping device for producing a desired processing pressure. The apparatus for drying a food product, which contains yeast extract, bone extract and/or meat extract, comprises a transport belt (3) for transporting the product, a contact heater provided below the transport belt to heat the product during transportation, a radiant heater provided above the transport belt to heat the product during transportation, and two treatment zones provided at the transport belt with different heaters. The transport belt is arranged in a pressurized chamber with a pumping device for producing a desired processing pressure, where only one contact heater is provided in a first treatment zone. The contact heater is provided from below in a second treatment zone and the radiant heater is provided from above in the second treatment zone, where the second treatment zone is arranged behind the first treatment zone in a transport direction of the transport belt. A cooling zone is provided with a cooling body provided below the transport belt. A radiator arranged in a distance above the plane of the transport belt is provided for the radiant heater, where the distance is 10-200 mm. The apparatus includes a conditioning device (1), in which the product is conditioned before the delivery to the transport belt, and a supply for supplying the product to the transport belt, where a device for determining the product quantity is provided at the supply.
