The motor vehicle (1) has a deactivatable front passenger-air bag (4) and a control device (2) for controlling different functions of the motor vehicle. A presence of a front passenger is detectable on a front passenger seat (5) by actuation of a function of the motor vehicle in an automatic manner. A warning message is displayable with deactivatable front passenger-air bag. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a control device for controlling different functions of a motor vehicle.
