METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY SETTING LOCATION RELATED IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION AND FEMTO ACCESS POINT THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A method of femto cell base station capable of automatically setting and registering unique identification information related to location and a method thereof are provided to search unique identification information related to the location of neighboring macro cell in a femto cell base station and set unique identification information related to the same location, thereby preventing the performance of procedure which registers the frequent location of a mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A femto cell BS(Base Station) extracts location-related identification information of a macro cell in a System Information Block Type 1 within the broadcasting signal of a macro cell(S305). The femto cell base station registers the extracted location-related identification information(S307). The femto cell base station reports the location-related identification information to a gateway(S309). If the received location-related identification information exists to the location-related identification information list, the gateway transmits the ACK response to the femto cell base station(S311).
