<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting channels so that an input channel number can correspond to at least one of an input IP address and domain name, and to provide a broadcast receiving apparatus using the same. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided the method for setting channels and the broadcast receiving apparatus using the same. In the method, a channel is set by a broadcast receiving apparatus so as to correspond to at least one of the IP address and the domain name.
