<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit so constructed that a cover is used so sa to prevent infiltration of foreign matters inside and is such as to less apt to cause breakage of a flexible printed wiring board ranging to a LED-mounting board. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight unit 10 includes the LED-mounting board 15, having the flexible printed wiring board 17 consisting of a main portion 17a, on which a LED 20 is mounted as a light source and a connection portion 17b which is extended from the main portion 17a and drawn to the outside; a frame 14 for storing the main potion 17a of the LED-mounting board 15 and a light guide plate 12; a detachment port 11a to/from which the LED-mounting board 15 is attached/detached; and a cover 16 for covering the detachment port 11a. The main portion 17a of the LED-mounting board 15 is held in the detachment port 11a at the side of a sidewall 14a, and the cover 16 covers the detachment port 11a, while abutting against the sidewall 14a to seal the main portion 17a of the LED-mounting board 15 from the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
