PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a rotary antenna capable of uniformly heating a plurality of objects to be heated which are symmetrically placed on the right and left of the antenna. SOLUTION: This high frequency heating device includes a plate for placing an object to be heated, which is made of a dielectric and provided on the bottom face of a heating chamber, a high frequency supply chamber provided below the plate for placing the object to be heated and in the center portion of the bottom face, a waveguide for mounting a magnetron, a coupling hole provided in the center portion of the bottom face of the high frequency supply chamber to radiate high frequency energy guided in the waveguide to the high frequency supply chamber, an inner conductor provided so as to pass through the coupling hole and almost perpendicularly front on the inside of the high frequency supply chamber, a rotary antenna of a metallic flat plate, which is almost horizontally connected to one end of the inner conductor in the high frequency supply chamber, the dielectric shaft connected to the inner conductor in the waveguide, and a driving part to rotatively drive the dielectric shaft. The rotary antenna is structured so that a strip antenna 8a having strip conductor with a length of aboutλ/2 (λ: 122 mm) and a slot antenna 8b comprising an arc-shaped slit having a length of aboutλ/2 or longer are symmetrically installed with the inner conductor 7 held between them.
