METHOD FOR PRODUCING PREPREG, PREPREG, METAL-CLAD LAMINATE, AND PRINTED WIRING BOARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a prepreg which has a small residual strain and a small difference in a resin deposition amount between one side of a fiber base-material and the other side thereof, and a prepreg obtained by the production method, and a metal-clad laminate and a printed wiring board using the prepreg, excellent in surface smoothness, thickness accuracy and warpage properties. SOLUTION: The method for producing a prepreg includes: a coating process of impregnating the fiber base-material with a thermosetting resin varnish; and a drying process of evaporating a solvent of the thermosetting resin varnish with which the fiber base-material is impregnated and half curing the resin. The drying process is carried out in a horizontal drying oven with an inlet temperature of the drying oven being equal to or lower than the softening point of the resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
