The present invention relates to a pillow. The pillow of the present invention has a head-retaining portion formed at the upper surface of a pillow body to retain the head of a user, and a cervical spine-retaining portion formed beneath the head-retaining portion to retain the neck bone (cervical spine) portion of the user, wherein said cervical spine-retaining portion is tilted by a predetermined angle as it goes from the front end toward the rear end of the pillow, and said head-retaining portion gradually caves in as it goes farther from the cervical spine portion, and said cervical spine-retaining portion and said head-retaining portion are interconnected via a gentle curve, so that the cervical spine and the head of the user can be kept at a predetermined angle identical to that of the cervical spine and the head during walking, and the neck of the user cannot twist when the user lies on the back thereof with the abdomen and chest upward. The pillow of the present invention prevents the cervical spine and the head of the user from being twisted in any direction, and enables the cervical spine and the head of the user to be kept an angle the same as that during walking when the user lies on the pillow. The pillow of the present invention does not burden the neck and the face of the user and retains the head and the cervical spine of the user at an optimum comfort state to lead to a sound sleep and to minimize tossing and turning. The pillow of the present invention is prevented from escaping from the head of the user, and opens the airway of the user in a stable manner to promote easy breathing while preventing snoring, wrinkles on the neck, etc. |
