A protective film for automotive wheels which comprises a base layer and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, characterized in that the protective film has a trouser tear strength in the machine direction (MD) of 3 N or higher and that the protective film has adhesive forces (adherend, a panel coated with acrylic clear coating; after 48-hour standing at 23ºC and 50% RH) of 4.9 N/25 mm or higher at a pulling rate of 0.3 m/min. and of 19.6 N/25 mm or lower at a pulling rate of 30 m/min.
