Provided is an ontology creation support device that supports the creation and updating of one or more multidimensional ontologies, pertaining to the same concept framework, the contents of which change for each dimension, dimensions being combinations of conditions. A base ontology for when there are no conditions is stored; also stored are dimension-separated ontologies that represent the differences between the base ontology and multidimensional ontologies for when conditions are saved. A dimension-separated ontology and base ontology are synthesized according to a specified combination of conditions; an ontology for display/editing is generated; said ontology is edited via actions of an operator; and when a save command is given, the differences between the ontology for display/editing and the base ontology are stored as a dimension-separated ontology.
