<p>A cutting tool (62) having a monolithic construction includes an injection molded shank(60), and an extruded flut-ed portion(64) extending forwardly from the shank(60), the shank(60) and the fluted portion(64) having a monolithic construc-tion. The process for making the cutting tool (62) includes forming a cutting tool green body by injection molding a shank (60) of the green body and extruding a fluted portion (64) of the green body such that the shank (60) and the fluted portion (64) have a monolithic construction; and then sintering the cutting tool green body.</p> |
