<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for calculating running pattern, for achieving overall optimization concerning fuel consumption or the like by preventing any local minimum problem based on the discontinuity of engine characteristics without fixing a speed pattern. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided an apparatus and a method for calculating running pattern, wherein road information is stored, a running state when the vehicle will travel on a road, is predicted based on the stored road information, the road is divided into a plurality of sections based on the predicted running state and an evaluation function is set for each road section and a running pattern of the vehicle that travels on the road, is calculated based on the evaluation function set for each road section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
