PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive capable of restraining noise from a DC motor to a noise level negligible in practice by significantly reducing the noise even if the motor is used as a fan motor. SOLUTION: This motor drive PWM-controls the motor to drive it at a fixed rotational speed by sequentially changing stator coils energized by an inverter based on the rotational position of a rotor for the DC brushless motor. The motor drive includes an inverter control means of performing PWM control by changing an energizing duration during energizing a stator coil in the motor against a prescribed reference duration, and changing an energizing phase for energization against a prescribed reference phase to obtain a desired rotational speed. |
