<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a household electric appliance, such as an electrostatic atomization device having a high degree of freedom of installation of a mist spray hole, or a refrigerator. <P>SOLUTION: This refrigerator includes an electrostatic atomization device made at least from foam metal and comprising a discharge electrode, a counter electrode, and an electrode retaining unit, for creating a mist by applying a voltage between the discharge electrode and the counter electrode; and a spray hole provided either in a separate position inside the storage chamber where the electrostatic atomization device is provided or in a second storage chamber different from the storage chamber, the spray hole being connected to the electrostatic atomization device via an air passage. The mist created by the electrostatic atomization device is sprayed from the spray hole provided in a position away from the electrostatic atomization device into the storage chamber or the second storage chamber where the spray hole opens. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
