<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device enabling sufficient cooling of a light-emitting tube in a constitution that a sub-reflecting mirror covers a part of the light-emitting tube, and a projector equipped with that light source device. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device has the light-emitting tube 11 equipped with a light-emitting part 15 to emit light, the sub-reflecting mirror 13 which is arranged by installing a gap against the light-emitting tube 11 and reflects the light emitted from the light-emitting part 15 toward the light-emitting part 15, and the main reflecting mirror which is equipped with an opening part and reflects the light emitted from the light-emitting part 15 and the light reflected by the sub-reflecting mirror 13 toward the opening part. The sub-reflecting mirror 13 is equipped with a first face 21 on a side opposed to the light-emitting tube 11, a second face 22 on a side opposite to the first face 21, and a groove part 25 formed at a part of a region including the outer peripheral part of the sub-reflecting mirror 13 out of the first face 21. A gap at the part in which the groove part 25 is formed is widened nearer the second face 22 side than the gap at the parts except the part in which the groove part 25 is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
