<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of sufficiently reducing starting shock when car startup over a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: A brake supporting device 14 supporting an electromagnetic brake 13 rotatably and displaceably in a rotary direction of a drive shaft 10 of a hoisting machine 2 is installed. Before a control unit 12 releases the electromagnetic brake 13 to start traveling of the car, a drive motor 8 is driven in a direction for reducing a displacement amount of the electromagnetic brake 13, so as to offset an unbalance torque based on a weight difference between the car and a counterweight by a torque generated by the drive motor 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
